PTFE
PTFE – Polytetrafluoroethylene Fluoropolymer material have been a standard in the industry. It has excellent performance properties in almost all conditions. It has very good to excellent resistance to heat, steam, abrasion, acid, petroleum oil and vegetable oil. Good Electrical Properties and does not age. This has the lowest coefficient of friction properties. Rated at -320°F to 500°F. PTFE is a material that can Cold Flow. When cycled through heat and then cooled down in process lines, PTFE gaskets may not return to the original configuration and it can continue to compress as the cycling continues. This can allow leakage if clamp torques are not maintained. Colors are White and Blue. This has FDA, USP class VI Compliance.
