Description

CGS™ Steam Stopper™ Orifice Plates lets condensate escape while keeping live steam from flowing through. When the Orifice Plates are sized properly for flow conditions, they operate very efficient, as good as any conventional Traps.  Office Plate Steam Traps have no moving parts. The operation of the Orifice Plate Trap is mainly based on the difference in the density between water and steam.  With an Orifice Plate the condensate will flow through the Orifice at a much lower velocity. This is because Condensate density is about 1000 time greater than that of Steam.

 

Flow conditions when sized properly will allow the condensate to stop the steam. Orifice Plate Traps will arrest the Steam and stop it from leaking through. This is a simple condensate removal device. CGS™ offers a wide range of Steam Stopper™ Gaskets with options like Flex Ti™ or Flexi-Steel™. These are High Temperature Elastomer or Fluor Elastomer made of Titanium or 316L Passivated Stainless Steel. Steam Stopper™ are designed to be interchangeable with standard sanitary Tri-Clamp™ Gaskets.

 

In addition, the gaskets are used in the most demanding applications in the Food, Beverage, Dairy, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Sanitary Process Industries.
