Description
CGS™ Perfect-Torque™ controlled compression clamp and nut will minimize the problem of gasket intrusion into product flow. When a gasket is over tightened, it can intrude into the pipes. This can affect product flow, cause shear and change texture. In pharmaceutical applications maintaining delicate cell structure and protein folding is critical. When sanitary process lines have gasket intrusion it’s a perfect place for microbial contaminants to propagate.
When a gasket becomes abraded, you can get fine particles that make the product polluted or impure. If a gasket is under tightened it leaves a concave groove. This concave groove is a place for soiling, creep and microbial propagation. Perfect-Torque™ Clamp and Nut
Perfect-Torque™ controlled compression clamp and nut allows you to use just enough torque to get a perfect smooth inner bore.
No seal intrusion from over-tightening. No concave grooves from under-tightening. You can control the exact compression to a constant pound inch of torque.
The clamp and nut is like a built-in torque wrench just tighten until it clicks. As you compress the gasket, it will expand and when the gasket meets the proper torque it also meets the inner bore. With the perfect torque you get a smooth inner bore.
Also, controlled compression clamp and nuts are used throughout the food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical and biotech sanitary process industries.

Elastomeric sanitary gaskets and seals have a required periodic replacement cycle. Gaskets and seal materials may be influenced by qualifications and age decline. Gaskets and seal life is influenced by the seal material type, application, Steam In Place (SIP), temperature, chemicals, cleaning procedures, and other qualifying factors. Maintenance and inspection should be part of all SOP (standard operating procedures).
